WHS Ofsted Report
We have been judged by the inspectors to be ‘Outstanding’ in every category. The full report explains this judgement. It paints a very positive picture of our school, one which we very much recognise. Our curriculum is described as ‘ambitious’, teachers as having ‘high expectations’ and behaviour in and around the school as ‘exceptional’. There is so much in the report that we know to be true, but which it is very pleasing to have confirmed and affirmed.
This judgement, and more importantly, the full report, are an immense achievement which not many schools have been able to achieve given the current Ofsted inspection framework. We are so superbly proud of the students and staff of Team Woodbridge who have helped us reach this point.
We have never done, and will never do, anything for the sake of Ofsted. We told the inspectors on the first morning of the inspection that we are a great school with a genuine heart and soul, rooted in this community, and challenged them to disprove that. They were not able to. We are happy that they recognised our school for what we all know it to be – a brilliant place for young people to learn and grow.
However, we are not complacent. We always strive to be better. We are also sure that we must do what we do for the right reasons - because it makes a difference to young people. This judgement serves to spur us on to even greater things as we think about what the next five years will look like for Woodbridge.
We thank the whole community for their kindness and support that helped us get to this point.
