School Information
The sixth form of 500 students continues to prosper with the majority of our students staying on after year 11. The teaching staff are all specialists in their separate areas and permanently contracted to the school. Year on year the school is oversubscribed and attracts a high number of first choice applications, with a record number of first choice places allocated this year. The school has a diverse curriculum that meets the needs of all the students and provides them with a pathway towards their chosen careers. The school is a happy, flourishing and mutually respectful place of learning.
The latest Ofsted report from February 2023 describes Woodbridge as a place where all students “receive an excellent education,” describes the curriculum as “ambitious and engaging” and makes it clear that “behaviour in and around the school is exceptional.” Government figures reveal that students at the school achieve significantly above national averages in all areas in examinations at GCSE and A Level.
The school has a commitment to high standards and to the success of every student. Our ethos, often called ‘The Woodbridge Way’ is centred on the importance of kindness, inclusion, celebration of our diversity, respect and aiming for excellence. It is reinforced by the school's motto: ‘Pride in Achievement’.
Students at Woodbridge benefit from first class facilities including an expressive arts building, fitness suite, an artificial grass pitch, outdoor football areas, basketball nets and table-tennis tables, a refurbished sports hall, state-of-the-art sound and lighting system in the hall and remodelled Sixth Form Study area with its own café.
