UCAS Process
The application process for Higher Education is not something that can be completed quickly, which is why we start students on this journey at the beginning of the Spring term.
We use an online platform, called Unifrog, which allows students to:
- Start and keep a record of their research into either Higher Education/ Apprenticeships or Studying Abroad
- Create shortlists which can rank different courses and institutions based on entry requirements
- Complete some diagnostic testing to identify the right course or career
The timeline for our support is as follows:

Introduce students to the range of Post 18 Pathways Create an Unifrog account |
January – March |
Focus on researching courses, creating shortlists and attending any additional events Start to plan a personal statement |
May – July |
Register for UCAS Continue to research courses and entry requirements Start to draft personal statements |
Year 13 | |

October – December |
Students complete their UCAS applications We aim to have processed ALL applications by the end of this term |
Through simple and intuitive navigation, it’s easy for users to increase their knowledge of the information and advice UCAS has to offer. The content will be reviewed regularly by UCAS so it remains up-to-date and relevant.
